About the Amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation of 2013 and the Constitutional Reforms in the European Countries Abstract: The article is devoted to the actual questions of the constitutional law of the Russian Federation such as the constitutional reform proposed by the President of the Russian Federation in 2013 and the problem of the independence of the judiciary. An emphasis is put on the role of the Prosecutor’s office and the status of the Supreme Court. The author also compares the probable constitutional amendments with the experience of the European countries and the USA and finally makes a conclusion about the risks of such reforms.
