About us

The publishing house was founded in 1998 as a private enterprise of Nota Bene Publishing House LLC. Its only founder and manager at that time was Danilenko Vasily Ivanovich. Later, the publishing house was renamed NB-Media LLC, and since 2011, his son Denis Vasilyevich Danilenko has become its co–founder.

At first, the publishing house specialized in publishing books and has been publishing only one print magazine, Law and Politics, since 2000.

Since about 2004, the publishing house has been changing its business strategy and starting to reduce the release of books, while simultaneously increasing the production and opening of new scientific journals.

The chronology is as follows:
2000 – the magazine "Law and Politics" began to be published;
2004 – two magazines were opened: "Taxes and Taxation" and "Politics and Society";
2005 – the first issue of the popular science monthly magazine "Historical Magazine" was published, the cover of which later began to be issued under the trademark "History Illustrated";
2008 – magazines were opened: "Philosophy and Culture", "Administrative and Municipal Law", "Psychology and Psychotechnics";
2009 – The magazine "National Security/nota bene" was launched;
Since that time, NB-Media LLC has become the publisher and distributor of the Journal of Foreign Legislation and Comparative Law, which has been published since 2005, under the brand of another publishing house. The founder of the journal is the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation;
2010 – the journal "International Law and International Organizations" began to be published, later renamed "International Law and International Organizations";
2011 – "Historical Journal: scientific research", "Culture and Art", "Philology: scientific research", "Pedagogy and Education", "Police activity" were opened;
2012 – the first issues of the printed journals "International Relations" and "Software Systems and Computational Methods" were published.
The same year was marked by the opening of a new website www.e-notabene.ru and a whole series of online publications, fully publicly available on the Internet:

2014 – The publication of the journal "Union of Criminologists and Criminologists" of the public regional organization of the same name began.
