Abstract: Types, sources of the information and procedure of its use in the course of legal monitoring in the Russian Federation and Republic of Kazakhstan are analyzed in the article. The conclusion on absence of legal regulation of the procedures of gathering analysis and estimation of specified information is made on the basis of the research. Thereupon the author offers some recommendations in this sphere.
