Avalyan, S. A. Historical and Philosophical Interpretation of the OtherAbstract: The article describes a historical and philosophical interpretation and relationship between Self and the Other. The author studies the category of consciousness based on M. Bakhtin’s, G. Shpet’s and L. Vygotsky’s works. All of them tried to answer the questions about the definition and nature of consciousness and proved that there was a certain connection between consciousness, dialogism and the category of the Other.
