A.G. Zaytseva Cost and Fee Allocation in Civil ProcedurAbstract: This article is based on a report for the XVIIIth International Congress on Comparative Law, which took place in Washington, D.C., in July of 2010. The article provides a study of the principles and rules governing costs and fees in civil litigation in Russia. It also offers a look at the basic approaches towards cost and fee allocation in other countries. The primary goal of this analysis is to indicate common problems of cost and fee allocation with respect to the fundamental principle of access to justice and suggest some solutions.
