Abstract: This is the reference on the book by Karl Mannheim, German and English philosopher coming originally from Hungary. Karl Mannheim is thought to be one of the creators of sociology of knowledge. The author underlines that Karl Mannheim’s book ‘Diagnosis of Our Time’ is becoming very topical under the conditions of the modern crisis and growing role of a state institution in economic life.
