Abstract: From November 21 to 23, 2008, a conference dedicated to the law of foreign investment was held within the framework of the cooperation project of leading scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan, Germany, Kazakhstan and Russia. The conference was attended by leading scientists and specialists from these countries, as well as representatives of international organizations. During the conference, the most pressing problems of legal regulation of foreign investments at the present stage were raised, as well as prospects for the development of this branch of law were outlined.
