Abstract: Based on the analysis of scientifi c literature and expert practice the author views the method of expert analysis of unlawfully produced weapons, in the light of its specifi c features due to the vast variety of constructive specifi cities of specifi c objects. The author pays attention to the need to study the material part of weapons, reliability of its construction, as well fi ring capacity of firearms.
