Abstract: The author described the differences in Adler’s and Nietzsche’s conceptions of power mania. It is noted that Nietzsche viewed the will for the power as a part of ontological development and Adler saw it from the anthropological point of view. The author also revealed the role of the inferiority complex in formation of the power mania.
