Abstract: The modern comparative paradigm includes a multidimensional and comprehensive study of significant phenomena of structural, functional and linguo-pragmatic order of the world's languages. The phenomenon of military-political discourse and US-China trade wars in two languages is being analyzed in the article. The research subject is language expressive means in media texts on the issues of Donald Trump's US-China trade war in 2025 with a functional approach (in media and military-political discourse). The US-China trade war continues to be the focus of global news, with Chinese and American media scrutinizing its implications for the global economy. With the recent increase in tariffs from the US to the rest of the world, the situation is becoming increasingly tense. Donald Trump, the leader of the American nation, as a publicly speaking politician in the current geopolitical environment, must endeavor to effectively use the expressive possibilities of language in order to convince the audience of the correctness of his course, ideas and create a positive image of his personality. The study of Donald Trump's language functioning and discursive practices in political rhetoric is the most urgent direction of modern fundamental and applied linguistics. The aim of the article is to study the linguistic means of expression in Donald Trump's speeches during the US-China trade war of 2025, as well as the phenomenology of linguo-axiology of US-China political-military discourse. The main content is concentrated around analyzing the concepts of ‘linguistic means of expression’, ‘linguo-axiology’, ‘Donald Trump's political rhetoric’, and ‘trade wars’ precisely from a linguistic point of view.
The digital media text acts as a unit of analysis in the study of contemporary Chinese-language and English-language (digital) media. This study examines such authoritative sources as 《环球网》,《搜狐》,The South China Morning Post, The New York Times, Fox News, The Washington Post, CNN, USA Today, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal Guardian, and others. The choice of these digital media resources is conditioned by the fact that they cover a wide range of news agenda of international and domestic political character, which affect both geopolitical and social and economic agendas. It seems that such thematic diversity of material will allow us to comprehensively study the issues of China-US trade wars and linguistic means of expression in Donald Trump's political rhetoric.

Abstract: The phenomenon of Chinese gastronyms (food names) studied in two languages at three levels: linguistic, culturally conditioned discursive and rhetorical-pragmatic. The research subject is a Chinese-language ‘culinary’ text. The aim of the article is to study the phenomenology of Chinese gastronyms in an interdisciplinary paradigm, as well as to analyze scientific-theoretical concepts and approaches to the development of the interdisciplinary phenomenon of gastronyms and ‘culinary’ text as units of analysis in the study of modern Chinese-language (digital) media. The present study is carried out in an interdisciplinary way in the context of the theory of language and media communications, applied linguistics, information linguistics, modern discourse linguistics: it actualizes the issues of language theory in general, and, in particular, the issues of gastronyms' functioning in “culinary” Chinese-language texts. The etymological approach is used by the authors to identify gastronyms in “culinary” Chinese-language texts. As a result of the research, the concept of ‘culinary’ text and ‘gastronym’ is revealed, and complex methods of studying these phenomena on specific linguistic material within the framework of modern media discourse (digital) are proposed.

Abstract: Today any language is subject to the processes of digitalization. The new virtual reality of Internet media and the new discursive format (visual-display text) need the revision and re-actualization of many values. For the first time, the linguo-axiology of military-political discourse (based on the material of Chinese and English-language media resources) acts as a research subject. The main content of the study is concentrated around the analysis of the concepts of “linguo-axiology” and “military-political discourse” from the linguistic point of view. The study of language functioning of modern discursive practices in foreign-language media is the most urgent direction of modern socio-humanitarian knowledge, including linguistic science. The aim of the article is to study scientific-theoretical concepts and approaches to the development of the interdisciplinary phenomenon of linguo-axiology of military-political discourse as a methodological key in analyzing foreign-language (digital) media. Media linguistic analysis, discourse analysis, the method of multimodal text analysis, etc. are used as research methods. Results suggest that the concept of linguo-axiology is revealed (based on the material of Chinese and English-language media resources). The present study concludes that the approach is worthwhile and promising for further research.

In addition, when conducting this research, not only general scientific methods are used, such as comparison, description, classification, systematization, interpretation, analysis, classification, but also special linguistic methods for analyzing lexical-semantic groups: contextual and stylistic analysis of semantics, the method of psycholinguistic modeling, method of complex analysis. The scientific novelty of the study is due to the subject of the study and the lack of modern comparative studies in the field of the specific representation of the image of beauty in the media (in glossy magazines) for young women. Abstract: Every year there is a rapid development of the media sphere, including its visual and discursive component, which contributes to the development of the "digital language" and the "language of television", the parallel development of YouTube journalism as a media phenomenon, which are evolving along with all the ongoing processes. Any language is susceptible to this, especially English, which is the most widespread and popular in the world.
The study of linguistic issues of the language of television shows, the language of talk shows in line with the anthropological paradigm of modern linguistics in its broadest sense (issues of the functioning of language in various types of discourse, journalism and PR, media linguistics and political linguistics) and its central concepts such as the manipulative influence of language, linguistic personality, pragmalinguistics of language and text as part of it are an integral part of both the theory of language and the linguodidactic component of foreign language teaching (English as a foreign language).
Taking into account the current conflicting political situation in the world, aggravated political and armed conflicts, the study of non-cooperative discourse in the media of English-language talk shows is certainly of scientific novelty. The main content of the research is concentrated around the analysis of the concepts of "non-cooperative discourse", "PR-discourse" from a linguistic point of view. Media linguistic analysis, discourse analysis, the method of multimodal text analysis, etc. are used as research methods.
Results suggest that the concept of non-cooperative discourse is revealed (based on the material of English-language talk shows). Even so, the present study concludes that the approach is worthwhile and promising for further research.

Abstract: The rise of China and its turn to active foreign policy creates new challenges in international relations and world order. The paper considers various scenarios of economic and geopolitical growth of China till 2020 – 2030s, and the possible transformations of international relations in the context of the post-bipolar world order. The research subject is the Chinese factor in the construction of the new world order. The purpose of the study is to consider and formulate the prognoses of the ascend of China and analyze the geopolitical consequences of its rise including its possible impact on international relations (relations with the USA, Russia, Africa, countries of Central and Latin America). Based on the approaches of well-known Russian and Chinese sinologists, the author offers her critical analysis of the modern ideas about the role and the place of China in the processes of globalization and establishment of the new world order. The research methodology includes the system, structural-functional, comparative-political and cultural-civilizational approaches, and the methods of critical discourse analysis of Chinese mass media and observation. The methodology is based on the author’s method of complex discourse analysis combined with applied political analysis. The scientific novelty of the study consists in the fact that the author translates, comments, systematizes and introduces some resources of Chinese scholars, defining the formation of China’s foreign policy, in conjunction with their ideas about China’s role in the new world order; using critical discourse analysis and content-analysis, the author provides methodological analysis of the Chinese-language media in relation to China’s positioning itself as a rising state or a super-power. The author concludes that China is not interested in any confrontation or in any transformations of the world order. Xi Jinping’s foreign policy has taken aggressive forms with political content as an alternative to the Western concepts of development: realization of ambitious projects the Silk Road Economic Belt and the Maritime Silk Road proves it. The author believes, the development of the Eurasian direction would be an ideal variant for Russia.
