Abstract: The article views the concept and peculiarities of prohibiting norms of administrative law. The author describes their place and role in the mechanism of legal regulation and analyzes certain features of prohibition norms of administrative law. Based on that, the author concludes that prohibiting norms play an important role in the mechanism of legal regulation.
