Abstract: The insurance fraud has impressive history. Unlike Russia, where insurance crime is a rather “new” category, in the West this category has been the object of study for a long time. That is why the author of this article turns to the works of foreign scholars on insurance fraud. In the opinion of the author the insurance fraudsters need to be grouped and classified.
