Abstract: As the author points out, the idea of this article is to show the transformation of the “monarchy” (the Princes) and the “democratic” (veche) elements of the political system of the medieval Russia, place and role of the outer “Asian” factor. What was the degree of the mutual influence of the two systems of law – ancient Russian based on agricultural and community based relations and the nomadic and tribal ancient Mongol system?
