Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of psychological diagnostics of learning ability and professional orientation. The author established the procedure of evaluating the volume, pace and orientation of learning capacities through studying personal peculiarities and social meaning of sample terms. The author also gave theoretic grounds for using psychological and semantic analysis of activity. Special attention is drawn at relations between conceptual and emotional aspects of cognition
