Abstract: The author comments a conversation which happened between the Literaturnaya Gazeta employee and a famous geneticist and a member of the Russian Academy of Science – Konstantin Skryabin. The member of the Academy describes possible consequences of so-called genetic revolution. He also reveals the possibilities of such breakthrough. However, the interview does not touch upon social consequences of the experiment. Thus, the author of the article reveals certain threats which will eventually happen in the future.

Abstract: When studying the nature of social action it is becoming important to define universal epistemic constructs and symbolic mechanisms of their functioning, the latter is being behind the cognitive act including its psychocultural elements. The given article studies genesis of epistemic item as a system of cultural practices addressed to a particular issue. Its artifacts, i.e. epistemic collection and cultural implant, form universal epistemic constructs which serve as a matrix for any cognitive activity. They can also transfer knowledge through psychocultural element of cognitive act at a macro-social level. As for the epistemic item itself, it draws upon a functioning dispositive which is a form of institutionalization of cultural practices and the basis of their legitimacy and a generator of epistemic activity all in one. The start of epistemic genesis is defined through its epistemic function which is, being collective psychic force, enters the central zone of culture. The research is based in cultural and historical material and socio-cultural models of modern humanitarian studies.

Abstract: The purpose of this article is to study the concept of archetype from the point of view of philosophical anthropology. In order to achieve this goal, the author of the article studied works written by the most famous psychologists discussing this topic. The main source is Carl Gustav Jung’s publications. The author describes Jung’s views on philosophical understanding of human which is directly associated with his archetypes. Jung’s conception is viewed as a living process and a guidance but not just theory. The author also shares his own idea of such Jung’s terms as ‘Self’ and ‘Individuation’. Another part of the article is devoted to archetypes and symbols in dreams. This particular sphere of human life was thoroughly studied by Jung and his colleagues so we can actually talk about facts but not just theoretical concepts here. The article also contains description of the main archetypes of human psyche, their position and the structure of the psyche itself.

Abstract: Influence of social and psychological factors on the process of personal aging leads to the breakdown of habitual social and psychological connections and relations of an old person which, eventually, causes social deprivation having a negative impact on personality. In most cases this effect gets even worse in situations of physical and psychological loneliness which is quite typical for old aged people. The given article contains the results of the author’s research of loneliness of elderly people and their features from the point of view of gender, age and individual differences.

Abstract: The problem of definition of a priori knowledge is very similar to what is often said about intuition. Intuition is viewed as an initial method of gaining information about the world before actual experience. In this particular article a priori knowledge is viewed from the point of view of evolution, not as non-static and pre-defined invariants but as forming and changing phenomena. The purpose of the article is to discover a co-relation between the concept of a priori knowledge and intuition.

Abstract: In his article D. G. Savov analyzes rhythm as a super-segment method of linguistic manipulation. The author bases his proof of super-segment rhythm on the fact that it is a rhythmical grid. As its implementers, the article considers segments of different nature such as extra-linguistic, linguistic and/or para-linguistic methods which take turn in a pattern of rhythm. Such combinations have a functional nature and form different levels of rhythm: basic, additional and dominating. Integration of rhythm components at the level of methods and relevant functions creates a rhythmical grid which influences super-segment linguistic manipulation.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the phenomenon of emotional numbness. The author studies trans-discursive grounds of this phenomenon which can be traced both in philosophy and Theatre of the Absurd. The author analyzes examples of communication breakthrough in Eugene Lenosko’s and Samuel Beckett’s playwrights. It is underlined that emotional depletion is becoming a serious problem of modern age; the author also describes a new research program of emotional development in the USA.

Abstract: The given essay describes male characters Othello, Arbenin, Karandyshev, Bluebeard, Stenka Razin and Perseus. These characters illustrate the conflict between the need in sexual identity and sexual desire when the identity eventually prevails. It is proved by the fact that all of them killed women who were sexually attractive for them (a few women were even their wives and loved ones) just because those women harmed their male identity. Their stories are viewed as some kind of ‘psychological complexes’, metaphors or prototypes repeated in real relations between men and women (even without such a dramatic ending). Men with such a complex omit a ‘symbolic murder’ when they humiliate, assault or ignore women threatening their male identity even if they feel sexual desire towards these women. In the described situations sex as a physiological category is governed by the ‘gender’ as a socio-cultural phenomenon.

Abstract: The author of the article provides a brief history of theoretical and experimental establishment of the author’s conception in the sphere of psychology of happiness associated with personal self-fulfillment. Modern variant of personality oriented conception of happiness is described through interaction of the two many-level systems – Selfishness and Personal Uniqueness. It is the first time in Russian psychology that selfishness and personal uniqueness are shown as a system and their productive interaction giving birth to new psychological states is described.

Abstract: The article describes the results of the research of efficiency of undirected animal-assisted therapy. The research involved 30 children with different forms of dysontogenesis. It is evidently shown that in 26 % of cases animal-assisted therapy did not have a positive influence on a child but made his emotional state even worse. The author of the article raises the issue of certain gaps in methods animal-assisted therapists have to deal with. The author offers a theoretical and methodological model of working with families who have bought a pet for animal-assisted therapy of their child.

Abstract: The article describes and explains factor structure of graduate’s readiness for professional self-actualization (based on the employer’s expert survey). The author of the article provides the results of the method of free associations used when studying the entire combination of features (characteristics) of such a structure.
