Sizemskaya, I. N. Russian Intelligentsia and PowerAbstract: Viewing Russian intelligentsia as a Russian cultural phenomena originating from humanistic values and ideas of the Enlightenment, the author appeals to the Intelligentsia-and-power problem and peculiarities of its analysis by the Russian philosophers during the 19th century and the Soviet period. Special attention is paid at the analysis of O. E. Mandelstam’s creative work.
