Abstract: This is a summary of L. A. Dyrkov’s and L.S. Sysoev’s monograph ‘Russian Messianism and Russia’s Destinies’. The authors of the monograph carry out a philosophical analysis of the essence of Russian messianism, its origins and evolution. In conclusion the authors underline that it is very important for Russia to find a national idea which would be based on true Russian values and free from messianism pretence.
