Podyachev, K.V., Musienko, K.A. Transformation of the political system and participation of citizens in the political process: political and legal problems.

Abstract: The article is devoted to changes in role, functions and forms of activity of the modern political parties in the Russian Federation on the background of transformation of party systems, which take place all over the world. The authors analyze the experience of application of Western theoretical concepts to the Russian political parties and say that the parties cease to be key means of communications between the state and society, giving place to social movements and civil initiatives.
