Abstract: This article by Professor S.G. Olkov is devoted to criticism of the criminological theory of pressure by Robert Merton, which is one of most developed theories in criminology. S.G. Olkov asks a question whether the criminological theory of pressure truly exists and comes to a well-reasoned conclusion that the answer should be negative, and there is no criminological theory of pressure.
