· A credit resulting from cancelling a consulting order or a partial refund of a consulting order should be charged to account 5255 “Consulting credits” which will be a deduction of consulting revenues and will be taken into consideration when paying the consultants. A credit given by the consultant should be treated similarly

For example, we have consulting order with total amount 300$. We want to refund 100$.  In QBO it will looks like:

We decrease price from consulting product and add Consulting credits product.

Next screen is represented invoice when order was cancelled.

What is a “credit given by the consultant”? As far as I know consultant can’t give credits, only can create discount coupon.

All refunds in SS are returned as credits. After that we can refund credits (partially or full) to credit card. How it should looks in QBO?

· A credit resulting from the $200 free case or $600 credit given to Toronto 4 students by Crystal or given automatically to new students attending seminars should be charged to account 5155 “ Seminar Credits” which will be a cost to the seminar business and will not be a deduction of consulting revenues and will not affect the payments to consultants.

All credits have 1 type. We don’t separate credits for free case and credits for refund or someone else. It is not possible to determine which credits customer uses in checkout (seminar credits or usual credits).

· A refund or credit for cancelled or partially refunded product orders should be charged to account 5016 which will be treated as a reversal of product revenues.

How it should looks in QBO? Right now we can do refund partially is SS without changing product items, shipping price. I think this is not correct for calculation inventory and for representation in QBO.

· Discounts should be shown separately by offering ( consulting, products or seminars) but as a deduction of revenues. This means that the invoices are recorded as sales at the net amount

Please show me an example how it should looks in QBO
