Abstract: This article is an attempt to determine the definition ‘narcissistic personality’ in a totally different light and not as a universal personal trait. The myth about Narcissus is interpreted differently from Freud. The article also contains the description of a clinical case with a representative of ‘narcissistic’ personality. The author especially underlines that there is a danger of a ‘social’ narcissism.
