Abstract:
Everyone lives in the surrounding world and we can speak of an adequate adaptation to the reality, its peculiarities and characteristics only if all the specific features of the surroundings are taken into account. Based on their personal experience, knowledge and typical ways of activity, people build their own cognitive maps of reality (subjective image of the objective world). The most important characteristic of the latter is its usefulness in providing comfortable existence and life support of an organism.

By the beginning of the 20th century psychologists’ views on children branched out. On the verge of the two epochs Zigmund Froid discovered an incredible thing: human’s sexuality appeared very early – in childhood already. It just goes through different stages. The thought would certainly overwhelm some famous people like ancient Greek philosopher Plato, for instance. He did believe that only an adult could have sexual problems.

Abstract:
One of unorthodox psychological approaches to phenomenology of conscious is actually given by the science which was the first to try and theoretically explain paranormal phenomena (despite any criticism and skepticism coming from the academic society). Parapsychology (derived from the Greek root “para” meaning “near” or “beside”) is the sphere studying psychic phenomena which cannot be explained by the common physics. The most famous phenomena include telepathy (mental communication between two people when no obvious means of communication are used), clairvoyance (power of getting information on events when no typical ways of receiving knowledge are used), foresight (ability to predict future events) and psychokinesis (faculty of manipulating physical objects by the force of the thought).

For quite a long time experts have been debating whether psychotherapy is actually effective and what would be the proper way to assess this effectiveness. The author of this article compares the two well-known psychological approaches in terms of their effectiveness. The first one, psychoanalytical, is based on suggesting psychoanalytical interpretations and schemes and the other one, humanistic, is mostly oriented at personal adaptation and development.

Abstract:
The “frontier” is an event, an image and a feeling. It is also a motive and an archetype. This phenomenon is practically drainless in its content because it characterizes a variety of aspects and situations which are, however, come to one only “core” construct. In a word, the frontier is a place in time and space (a border, neutral territory) where the opposites meet and face the conflict which is eventually solved by their synthesis.
