Abstract: The subject of this research is the process of introducing the reindeer image into the life and culture of Old Sami people. From the perspective of cultural continuity, the author sets a scientific task to find culturological evidence of the existence of Old Sami people (native speakers of the southern genetic component of the Sami language). The method of conducing this research is the records of décor element, their direct comparison applicable the culture and geographical location of the settlement of Old Sami people. The territory between the Upper Sukhona and the Upper Volga Rivers is selected as geographical location for introduction of the reindeer image into the culture of Old Sami people. The analysis of acquired data gives outlook on the culturological situation in the middle of the 1st millennium BC. The reindeer image is introduced into decorative and applied art, as well as into the culture (lifestyle, household). For getting a broader perspective, the author carries the analysis of toponyms and climatic processes of this period. The novelty of this work consists in application of the synthesis of sciences to the question of comprehension of the cultural processes taking place within the environment of Old Sami people during their dwelling between the Upper Sukhona and the Upper Volga Rivers. The research result consists in acquisition of data that specify the time and place of introduction of the reindeer image into the culture of Old Sami people. The visual match of decorative geometric elements in the Sami decorative patterns and regional decorative ornaments gives grounds on the historically common main cultural heritage in the decorative and applied art of the indicated region. The conclusion lies in finding the culturological evidence of dwelling of the ancient Sami people in the territory between the Upper Sukhona and the Upper Volga Rivers, and the process of cultural development taking place during this period.

Abstract: The subject of this research is the techniques for integration of education migrants into the new sociocultural environment of the city and university. The authors review the problem of formation of environmental identity as a condition of increasing education migration in the region. The goal of this study consists in determination of factors substantiating the cluster of education migrants to the new sociocultural environment on the example of Tomsk universities. The research objectives are defined by examination of peculiarities of perception by education migrants of the city of Tomsk, as well as techniques of their adaptation to the new sociocultural environment. The author’s special contribution lies in consideration of the vectors of sociocultural adaptation of education migrants in the region. Based on the results of two-stage research, the author highlights the appealing and negative factors for increasing education migration to the region, as well as determines the strategies aimed at the development of comfort environment of the city as an educational space.

Abstract: The subject of this research is the wooden décor of the elements of residential houses in the northwest of Kostroma Oblast and decorative ornaments of embroidery and garments applied by Sami people in the northern territories of their contemporary dwelling. The author examines the décor of items created during the period of early displacement of Slavic people in the region. Special attention is given to the examples of clear match up of the elements. The author searches for confirmations of dwelling of the ancient Sami population in the northwest of Kostroma Oblast of the Russian population from the perspective of cultural continuity. The research method is the direct comparison of décor elements. The analysis of acquired data allows pursuing parallels in the elements of décor of the population that abandoned the territory many generations ago, as well as in the widespread modern ornaments of other population in the same territory. The author structures a chain of logical considerations, carries out the analysis of toponyms for the more in-depth overview of the area of displacement of the ancient Sami population. The scientific novelty of this work lies in studying the continuity of decorative ornaments of various ethnic groups that at various time locally resided in the same geographic area. The research result lies in obtaining of visual match of the elements of the decorative Sami ornaments and woodcarving, which suggests that the cultural heritage in the field of decorative and applied arts is historically common. This leads to another assumption that the foundation of decorative ornament was created by one of the ethnic groups, in this case by the ancient Sami population of the region, which subsequently migrated from the region. The conclusion consists in providing additional confirmation of dwelling of the ancient Sami population in the northwest of Kostroma Oblast, but from the perspective of cultural continuity.

Abstract: This article examines the improvisation in dance as the way to develop creative potential of dancer’s personality from the standpoint of practicing choreographer. It is noted that the approaches to improvisation in the performative types of art were use back in the ancient times. Currently, improvisation is becoming the foundation for certain dance disciplines. Improvisation in dance is associated with such prominent innovative choreographers as Isadora Duncan, Loie Fuller, Blanche Evan, Rudolf von Laban, and others, who saw dance improvisation as the way to discovering the unsconsious. It is underlined that improvisation is widely used in various dances, including folk and modern. The author presents a detailed analysis of improvisational beginning in the Spanish Flamenco dance, which is based mostly on improvising. According to the study conducted via overt observation and surveying of the Russian Flamenco performers, the readiness for improvising increases proportionally with age of the respondents. It is concluded that improvisation in dance is the criterion for performer’s professionalism, contributes to the development of his intellectual and creative abilities, as well as emotional empowerment. Performers themselves perceive improvisation as the psychological challenge they are able to take. The author also discovers that the elements of dance improvisation can be implemented in educational sphere, for example, in teaching foreign languages.

Abstract: The object of this research is the basic, anthropologically significant concepts of “health” and “sickness”. The subject of this research is the color associations in the modern Russian culture related to these concepts. The author carefully examines the intensity of color associations (this factor was assessed based on the number of color matches for each concept among various respondents), analyzes the correlation of associations with the color hue and diverse groups of shades (light, clear, dark), and determines the link between the concepts with achromatic colors – white, gray, and black. Special attention is given to the culturological expertise of the established associative connections. The research was conducted through the method of experiment, involving 100 Russian-speaking respondents (M=36, F=64, average age 23.73). The pallet consisted of 27 color samples from the Natural Color System (NCS). The participants were offered to select the most appropriate color samples for each concept. The conducted research allowed revealing the tolerant associations of the concept of “sickness” with dark green-yellow and yellow shades, which in the Russian culture indicate the decay, decomposition, deterioration. The structure of the chromatic image of the concept of “health” highlights two cores: in the red-yellow and green parts of the pallet. The core in the red-yellow part correlates with the image of a healthy person that in the Russian linguocultue semantically relates to healthy color of the face and natural blush. Prevalence of the green shades is explained by steady interaction in the Russian national sphere of concepts of the notions “health” and “sickness”. The scientific novelty of this work lies in quantitative characteristics of chromatic structure of the concepts of “health” and “sickness”; identification of the hue, lightness, saturation of the shades that form color associations and visualization of the acquired associative connections.

Abstract: This article presents the study the two cases of film festivals in Volgograd (Arthouse festival “Films with No Limits” in 2009-2015, and days of German and Russian featured films “Briefly!” in 2013-2015), as well as the analysis of experience of holding these festival for the purpose of determining their role for the sociocultural environment and demand among the targeted audience. This work contains a historical review of film festivals since 2000’s, their evaluation as the sociocultural projects (goals, contents, management aspects) in the context of the urban cultural environment. The authors of this article have a direct connection to the organization and hosting of these projects, thus they resort to self-description of the activity and reflection of their personal experience, as well as conduct a cross-reference analysis. The authors make conclusions on the social and cultural importance of the film festivals, their conceptual peculiarities and their role in the province. Among the most significant roles, the author highlight the humanitarian, which consists in formation of the value orientations, professional communicative and other cultural competencies of the audience, and also contribute into the reproduction of the urban cultural environments. This article is relevant from the perspective of its contribution into the chronicle of the cultural life of the city of Volgograd, as well as practical application of the presented results in sociocultural development.

Abstract: The object of study is a musical recording as a system of socio-cultural communications. The subject of this publication is a separate sector of the Balkan vector socio-cultural development of musical pop culture. The article describes the analysis of the formation and development of pop and rock music in Bulgaria and Romania. In this article detailed analysis of the origins of the Bulgarian and Romanian rock scene. From the standpoint of the development of socio-cultural communication in the music industry authors analyzed the history record systems: Bulgarian and Romanian. The author discussed in detail lesser known pages of the history of the Bulgarian and Romanian beat-(rock) music discussed in the context of the recording features. Problems of studying the history of the Bulgarian and Romanian beat-, pop and rock music in artefacts record considered in conjunction various interpretations. The author conducts scientific research, based on the most significant ideas belonging to different areas of modern humanities, where the priority appears comparative historical methodology. The author concludes that actually rock music became the unofficial center of the special social and communication system around which under socialism in Bulgaria and Romania (as well as in other countries «Eastern Bloc») formed heterogeneous youth subcultures. The process is as a result of scientific and technical modernization of everyday culture of big cities was further deterministic increased access to foreign music. Special contribution of the author in the study topics is concluded that for the recording systems of Bulgaria and Romania were the common presence of a single state manufacturer phonographic production, which had a monopoly of relevant national market for music recording. In conclusion, the author focuses on the fact that the global record industry requires modernization communications platform and the new formula organization recording and intercultural communication. In this context, the problem of forming strategies outlined crisis communications in the music industry of post-communist countries – Bulgaria and Romania.

Abstract: Audio recording is the main component of phonographic culture. The object of the present research is the music industry culture with all its corporate rules and features. The subject of the present research is labels as a part of phonographic business in the music industry from the piont of view of audiovisual culture. The typology of labels was studied and their structural and functional models were characterized. Corporate ties between the main actors of the recording business were identified. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the phenomenon of phonographic culture, the researcher had to apply methodological instruments of different humanitarian sciences. The methodological basis of the research involves the synergetic approach viewing label as the main element of sound-recoding communication. The novelty of the research is caused by the fact that the author provides the scientific evidence proving that sound-recording establishments constitute a major part of the sound-recording system involved in the general system of the music industry culture. The researcher describes the structure of music-recording corporations and defines communicative patterns of record labels in the global system of show business.

Abstract: Object of research is the strategy of corruption behavior of modern Russians and possible cultural deep bases of these strategy. On material of the analysis of modern theories of corruption behavior and cultural texts of the Soviet writers, cinematographers, modern Russian writers the cultural bases of social communications implanted in archaic and traditional Russian cultural space are considered. The cultural practicians connected with donation and a pirovaniye contain modern Russian social communications. Distinction between strategy of corruption behavior and cultural practicians of donation and a pirovaniye has basic character and has to be considered in modern Russian social management. The methodology of research is connected with the conceptual analysis of texts of the cultural anthropologists including studying economic and social aspects of donation. The hermeneutics of cultural texts, art reprezentant of the Soviet mythological picture of the world and the Russian national image of the world was applied. Scientific novelty of research is connected with detection of interconditionality of the Soviet mythological picture of the world, the Russian national image of the world with economy and social communications of gift, a feast. Is shown that legal mechanisms of overcoming of negative consequences of corruption behavior are insufficient. It is necessary to introduce the cultural practicians based on archaic and traditional values, but transformed to new social communications and new strategy of social management.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the Russian immigration speech of the 'first wave' that reflect profound changes in the Russian language and national identity of their descendants at the end of the XX century.
Today many researchers speak of a certain gap in conceptual grounds and emphasize the need for reconsideration and new undestanding of the old conceptual approaches to the analysis of the phenomenon 'Russian immigration'. First of all, this is the question about what terms and categories the cultural and historical phenomenon of the diaspora should be described in. Should it be described in terms of national history and/or collective memory or in terms of trans-national history being developed nowadays? Their desire to return to Russia predetermined the constant and varied in form and method battle of the Russian migration for preservation of their national identity. Culture had the primary importance in this battle. Attempts of the Russian diaspora to preserve their ethnocultural identity created grounds for the idea of the national rebirth. That was the idea about the revival of the previous, prevolutionary Russia and entailed a strong socio-cultural dominant including the concept of the national unity (Sobornost in Orthodoxy), service to the community (immigration community understood as the 'small homeland'), sacrifice and protection of the previous national and cultural traditions.
