Abstract: The article is devoted the changes in intellect and psyche which happen in elderly people. The author analyzed the reasons why IQ score is usually lower at that age. The article contains examples of long-living people who remained intellectually active despite their old age. The article also discusses grounds for creating psychological anti-ageing methods which would prevent age-specific changes in intellect and professional activity.
