Omelchuk, R. K. Education and the Problem of TruthAbstract: The article studies the problem of truth from the point of view of the ontological approach to belief. The author views the connection between the ‘belief’ and the ‘truth’ symbolically represented as a student and a teacher. It is proved that showing itself through a cultural attitude towards a teacher, belief helps to make a person ‘true’. The article will be of interest not only for philosophers, teachers and psychologists, but also for all who are interested in the problems of achievement of personhood. Keywords: pedagogy, ontology of belief, truth as the Other, cultural attitude, education, achievement of personhood.
