Gurevich, P. S. Asexuality as a Health Problem.

Abstract: The article analyzes the phenomenon of sexual sensuality and its influence on man’s health. The topic is discussed from the point of view of history and culture. Special attention is paid at interpretation of erotic feelings during the Middle Ages. The author gives definitions of such terms as decompensation, transsexuality and polysexuality. The author shows how sensual pleasures fade away in modern culture while a new phenomenon of asexuality is being formed in a modern ‘technological’ society.
