Smirnov, M. M. Russian World as a Border of National Security: Structural and Functional Model of New Ethno-Confessional Reality

Abstract: In his study the author analyzes the idea of the ‘Russian World’ which has been quite popular recently. From the point of view of the author’s theory of new system and structural functionalism and corresponding methodology, conception of the Russian World is interpreted as the most important element of national security of Russia during post-industrial digital millennium. According to the author, it is a new geopolitical doctrine of sub-national ethno-confessional network society
