Abstract: The article is devoted to the basic image of Antique philosophical perception of the world, - Universal Mind. The author studied how the conception of the Universal Mind changed from one philosopher to another. By doing so, the author clearly showed the ontological development of views on the Universal Mind as well as demonstrated how it influenced formation of ethical and intellectual virtues of wise men.
